Shaun Hunter is a Special Effects Makeup Artist for film and television from Mississauga, Ontario. He completed the Toronto School of Makeup Art’s Comprehensive Makeup Design course in 2008, and became a full member in the I.A.T.S.E Local 873 union in the Makeup & Prosthetics Department in 2021.
His skills lie in sculpture for prosthetic & prop design, prosthetic makeup application, multi-medium painting, practical prop & FX creation, character makeup, and out-of-kit makeup fx. Shaun provides realistic injury and prosthetic production & application in foam latex, silicone and gelatin. He is also a mould maker with silicone, resin and plaster mediums specifically for prosthetic, prop and puppet design.
With a strong, diligent and meticulous set & shop work ethic, Shaun can manage any given project with confidence and provide the team environment of film with the cooperation and skills needed to get the job done efficiently.
